1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PromptUnit (“the Service”), operated by PromptUnit (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
PromptUnit is an AI inference proxy that routes API requests to various AI providers on behalf of users. We provide cost analytics, smart model routing, and related services. We act as an intermediary. we do not generate AI content ourselves.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
4. API Keys and Provider Credentials
You grant PromptUnit permission to use your AI provider API keys solely for the purpose of forwarding your requests. Your keys are stored with AES-256 encryption. We will never use your keys for any purpose other than fulfilling your requests.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent security measures; (d) resell or redistribute access without written permission.
6. Payment and Billing
PromptUnit has no subscription fee. We charge a commission of 20% of the savings PromptUnit verifies for your account: the difference between what your requests would have cost on the models you chose and what they cost through PromptUnit. The first $5 of savings on an individual account, or $100 on a business account, is free and is never charged. A business account needs a work email address: an account made with a personal email address, such as Gmail, is an individual account. After that, once you add a card, we charge it through Paddle, our payment provider, once a week, starting one week after you add the card. Each charge is 20% of the savings since the previous charge. If that amount is under $5, nothing is charged and it rolls into the next week. If we save you nothing, you pay nothing. Charges are non-refundable except as stated in our Refund Policy. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including but not limited to costs incurred from third-party AI providers.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may cancel your account at any time from your dashboard.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
