Common questions
When does billing start?
After we've already saved you money. Savings start with your first request, and the first $5 (individual accounts) or $100 (business accounts, which need a work email address) of savings is free. After that we charge 20% of what we've saved you, never in advance. We charge once a week, a week after you add your card, and only when you owe $5 or more.
How is the 20% calculated?
We compare your actual spend through PromptUnit against a calculated baseline of what you would have paid using your original model selection. The fee is 20% of the verified difference, charged once a week. If a week comes to under $5, it rolls into the next week.
What if I save nothing?
Then you pay nothing. We only make money when we deliver measurable savings.
Can I set a spending cap?
Yes. You can set hourly and daily spend limits per organization. When a limit is hit, routing stops and requests pass through normally so your app stays available. Limits are configured in your dashboard.
